The Peace Village is a vision for an inclusive and welcoming community.
This community would include:
- worship space
- multi-purpose meeting space for community meetings, artistic productions, and legal/medical clinics
- community garden
- safe space for children and youth, including LGBTQ+ youth
- and, maybe even affordable LGBTQ+ friendly senior housing
It's a big vision which we have learned will have to come in steps but we believe that part of our call is to show the world how love and justice can heal the world. The first step in that vision has just been realized in the purchase of 2.5 acres of property at 6407 N. Woodlynne Ave. in Tampa. This beautiful piece of property currently includes a small house and beautiful land and banana, avocado, mango and lime trees. There's plenty of space for a community garden and for building a multi-purpose building for worship and meetings. Join us in helping make this wonderful vision a reality.
